* In May of 2009, Hearne voters approved a local option election which allows for "the legal sale of all alcoholic beverages, including mixed drinks" within the Hearne city limits. While a person can purchase beer, wine, & mixed drinks at a legally-permitted restaurant in Hearne, the rest of Robertson County is dry for the sale (for on-premise consumption) of wine & mixed drinks. Two Robertson County JP precincts (those in Calvert & Bremond) allow for the sale (for on-premise & off-premise consumption) of beer only. The JP precinct in Franklin totally prohibits the sale (for on-premise or off-premise consumption) of beer, wine, & mixed drinks.
